Heavy congestion was reported on various roads in UAE on Monday morning due to multiple accidents.
Dubai Police reported an accident at 7.30am through their official Twitter handle, stating the incident had occurred on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in the direction towards Abu Dhabi from Dubai.
"Traffic congestion due to multiple accidents on SMBZ Road after vegetable market bridge towards Abu Dhabi," the Dubai Police said on Twitter.

They advised drivers to take caution and take alternative routes.
According to Google Maps, an accident was reported on E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Dubai Productions City caused huge tailbacks towards Dubai.

Commuters travelling on E44 Al Warqa road to Ras Al Khor area were also caught in long queues.

Traffic jams were observed on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road (E311) around Al Nahda area and near the National Paints Factory.
