UAE tops in region, 32nd on Rule of Law Index

The UAE achieved first rating in sub-indexes of absence of corruption, order and security, regulatory enforcement, civil justice and criminal justice.

The UAE's status as a safe haven has improved yet another notch as the emirate was placed at 32 among 113 countries, one notch higher on the World Justice Project's Rule of Law Index.
The UAE also maintained its top rating in the Middle East on the Rule of Law index.
Regionally, the UAE achieved first rating in sub-indexes of absence of corruption, order and security, regulatory enforcement, civil justice and criminal justice. In order and security, the Emirate has been rated among world's top 10 countries.
The UAE is followed by Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Iran, Lebanon and Egypt. Iran climbed 6 positions to 80, while Morocco fell 7 positions to 67 out of 113 countries worldwide. 
The top three overall performers in the 2017-2018 Index were Denmark, Norway and Finland (3); the bottom three were Afghanistan (111), Cambodia (112), and Venezuela (113).
