A new smart platform for public bus drivers has been launched in Dubai, and it will allow them submit feedback and suggestions in just a few taps, the emirate's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced.
Installed at all bus depots across Dubai, the smart devices are programmed in several languages and directly linked to the RTA's customer relations management system.
Through this platform, drivers will be able to send in their ideas and proposals on how to improve bus services.
"The RTA attaches great importance to the feedback and proposals of bus drivers as they contribute to shortening the customers' journey," said Abdullah Ibrahim Al Meer, director of driver affairs at the Public Transport Agency, RTA.
"The process contributes to the achievement of strategic goals and the improvement of operational processes that is in line with RTA's vision of safe and amooth transit for all."
Amair Saleem, director of knowledge and innovation at RTA's strategy and corporate governance sector, added: "The system will also encourage drivers to deliver excellent customer services and highlight their contributions to the system of ideas management."
