“Police arrested the suspect as he landed at the airport from an Arab country. When questioned, he explained that he wanted to sell them to people who wanted such weapons,” said a police official. He said that knuckle dusters are illegal in the country and are considered as assault weapon commonly used in gangs.

The suspect has been referred to the Sharjah Public Prosecution. The police have also launched an intensive crackdown on assault weapons including knives, swords and knuckle dusters, throughout the emirate.
