Festive wish-lists of children these days are getting longer and fancier, but what would a child with special needs want for Eid?
The wish list might be much simpler than you think. Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs is giving the opportunity for community members to make these wishes come true. Members can contribute amenities the children can utilise and enjoy.
From hi-tech wheelchairs for the assistive technology unit, to skateboards for the sports unit, and edible ingredients for the bakery, or art and craft items for the creative unit - members may contribute any gift fitting their budget. "Granting a wish is a small step towards Al Noor's goal of being a state-of-theart centre," the centre's spokespersons said.
The wish list covers a flexible budget range, starting from Dh500 and above.
Isphana Al Khatib, Director, Al Noor Training Centre, said, "The Al Noor wish list is not only about making a donation, but also making a difference. We appeal to corporates and individuals to come forward and generously contribute so that it helps us cover the running cost of the Centre this academic year. Eid around the corner gives us another reason to make a wish come true."
In addition to raising funds, this initiative also aims at creating awareness in the community about the Centre's programmes.
