Mohan Lal hosts special Iftar party
DUBAI - Malayalam superstar Mohan Lal hosted a special Iftar party at his restaurant Mohanlal Taste Buds in Dubai on Tuesday evening to mark the launch of Ramadaniyath 2003, the Kerala Ramadan cuisine festival, during the holy month of Ramadan.
Eminent personalities, patrons and customers thronged the restaurant to participate at the Iftar party and taste some of the exotic food that was on offer.
The festival, which started on the first day of Ramadan, will continue till the third day of Eid during which UAE residents can savour some of the authentic and exotic Ramadan festive cuisine from Kerala.
The restaurant is offering a delectable selection of take-away assortments of 12 Iftar food items everyday from 12pm onwards. Malabar specialities prepared in the traditional style for muthazham (supper) and athazham (late night dinner) are being made available to tempt the taste buds of the people of Dubai.
Festive buffets are on offer on Thursdays and Fridays including soups, salads, a choice of six-non-vegetarian dishes, accompaniments and a choice of three desserts that are being laid out for the customers.
These specialties include Unnakkai (banana with stuffing), ada (thin bread of rice with stuffing), and various fried snacks. Every meal at the restaurant will give an opportunity to customers to win a daily Ramadan Gift hamper, courtesy Marmum Dairy.
