Cross-border shelling has killed at least 70 civilians, including children, rescue workers and journalists
The closure began on Friday and will last till June 26, until the asphalt has been laid, Al Gharbia Municipality announced.
Traffic has been diverted at the traffic signal of the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative Court to the back street of the Court, and from the traffic signal of Al Dhafra Cooperative society to the back street of Al Gharbia Municipality building according to the plan. The road works will, in fact, cause the closure of the main entrance of the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative court.
The municipality has urged employees and customers to use the back gates of the Court, and called on road users to use alternate routes as per the published routes plan, as traffic going to Baynona and the new hospital in Madinat Zayed will be impacted. It also called on motorists to exercise extra caution and abide by speed limits.
