Several Etisalat customers across Abu Dhabi faced internet disruptions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Customers who called the Etisalat helpline, heard the following message regarding difficulties with internet access:
"We are currently experiencing a general problem in Abu Dhabi region where people are unable to browse the internet. Our technical team is working to resolve the problem. We regret the inconvenience caused."
The telecommunication services company couldn't confirm when the services are expected to be restored. Internet services disruption was caused due to network modernisation and upgrades conducted.
An official statement from Etisalat is awaited.
Etisalat received several calls since morning and some UAE residents even took to Twitter to complain about the internet disruption.
