Art is both a priority and necessity, especially during a pandemic. The city is bouncing back to celebrate art to help you connect with vibrant hues and strokes.
New Sounds for 2021: We all have a favourite season, don’t we? Be it the warmth of winter sun to the flowers of spring, or the lemonades in summer to the falling of leaves in autumn. We learn a lesson from each season, just as we cherish the sights and sounds of each. I don’t know about you, but if I were to pick a favourite season, mine won’t be any of these, as much as I do cherish each of them. For, mine happens to be the art season, which in the city, has just begun. And I’m here to get you started to make the most of the hues, aromas and vibes of this one. Let’s begin, shall we? Manifold - A Festival of Musical Diversity, presented in partnership with the NYUAD Music Program, is a creative blend of new and experimental music featuring notable visiting artists and practicing artists from the university’s faculty. The first concert was broadcasted in early February. New Sounds for 2021 will see music faculty members - Cristina Ioan on flutes accompanied by Emil Sein, playing bass clarinet and saxophone, performing new and recent works of eclectic composers of the 21st century.
