His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Tuesday offered his condolences on the sad demise of Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qassimi, the son of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

"My sincere condolences to my brother Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi on the death of Khalid bin Sultan and my sincere condolences to the people of Sharjah and the UAE. I ask god to fill my brother Sheikh Sultan's heart with patience. We have seen your affection and love for all your compatriots and we have seen your big and beautiful heart.  I pray to god to grant you the strength to bear with this loss.," he said in a tweet in Arabic.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai also extended his condolences to Sheikh Sultan on the loss of his son.
"My condolences to Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and Sheikha Jawahar bint Mohammed Al Qasimi. May Allah give strength to the parents of Sheikh Khalid for their loss", Sheikh Hamdan said on his official Twitter account.
Sheikh Khalid passed away on July 1, 2019 (Shawwal 28, 1440 Hijri) in the United Kingdom.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs condoled the royal's death and declared a three-day mourning period in UAE.
