The Ajman Department of Economic Development issued a statement regarding a number of videos posted on social media about the Ajman store rush.
A team of DED inspectors was dispatched to oversee the measures taken by the store to control the rush.
Majed Al Suwaidi, director of the Department of Control and Consumer Protection of DED-Ajman, said: "The store had obtained an official permit allowing them to place certain items on sale. As soon as we heard news of the rush, during which a number of people had fainted, a team was sent to verify the incident.
"The store was given a notice to follow up with the DED on the matter and avoid such incidents from recurring. Such situations do not reflect a positive nor accurate image of our emirate. The rush was indeed controlled and the crowds dispersed."

Ajman Police had intervened on Thursday afternoon to disperse customers, who rushed to a department store in Ajman to buy discounted foodstuff, especially those consumed during the holy month of Ramadan.
A video footage taken from inside the shop that went viral on social media showed it offering consumer goods such as Vimto syrup and a carton of bottled water for Dh1.
Within an hour, the shop saw a rush of customers and the owners were not able to control the situation. The Ajman Police patrols stepped in to organise and protect the crowd in order to avoid a stampede.
An official source at the Ajman Police confirmed that after the video footage went viral on social media, Major-General Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, commander-in-chief of the Ajman Police, gave orders to dispatch patrols to follow up and control the situation.
