A startled mountain lion in Colorado, USA, was caught on CCTV walking into a motel in Boulder in the dead of night.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials shared the footage of the mountain lion walking into the motel through a door that had been left open before quickly exiting the building. The footage was shared on Monday warning locals and tourists visiting Colorado to keep their doors shut and their dogs on a leash.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman, Jason Clay, said the lion appeared to be startled by something and had encountered some visitors and their dog moments before entering the motel. According to Daily Camera, the incident took place at the Foot of the Mountain Motel. "Those people did a good job keeping their animal on a leash and then just going back into their room... There weren't any problems, though it probably scared those people," NDTV quoted Clay as saying in Daily Camera.
According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, most parts of Colorado, including the Front Range, is home to around 7,000 mountain lions.
