Emirati productions company FilmGate partners with Paramount Pictures and Highland’s The Avenue for Renny Harlin-Directed action heist picture
FilmGate Productions, an Emirati owned independent productions company, has partnered with Paramount Pictures and Highland Film Group’s U.S. distribution offshoot, The Avenue, to bring audiences The Misfits, a new Hollywood picture filmed entirely in Abu Dhabi this summer. The film stars Golden Globe nominee Pierce Brosnan who plays the part of Richard Pace, a world-renowned thief who only steals from those who have insurance. Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Skiptrace) directed the film from a script by Robert Henny. It was produced by Emirati producer, director, and writer Mansoor AlDhaheri (The Platform), alongside LA-based K Jam Media’s Kia Jam (Lucky Number Slevin, Sin City 2: A Dame to Die For) and Dean Altit (Realms), and Brosnan as the Executive Producer. The movie was financed entirely by FilmGate Productions.
