“The Central Operations Room at Al Ain Police Directorate received a communication about a girl falling into a pond in the area. A rescue and safety team along with divers was rushed to the scene to save the child’s life. The divers immediately managed to recover the girl from the water but she was already dead,” said Colonel Mohammed Suhail Rashidi, Acting Director of the directorate.

He added that the girl came out for a walk around the pond along with his neighbours, who are also her relatives, and suddenly fell and drowned. The body was shifted to Al Ain Hospital.
