A development team representing South Africa’s Twenty20 champions, the Cape Cobras, will be taking on top English county sides, Surrey and Sussex, as well as a Fly Emirates XI headed by Afridi on March 19-20.

“With the big-hitting Shahid Afridi confirmed for the Fly Emirates XI, demand for tickets for the tournament has soared and we are looking forward to welcoming a good crowd out at 7he Sevens in a few weeks,” said Tournament Director and Arabian Cricket Challenge (ARCH) founder Matthew Jackson. Tickets to the inaugural Emirates Airline Twenty20 are on sale at 7he Sevens venue, Emirates Headquarters, Promoseven Sports Marketing offices (Emarat Atrium Building, Shaikh Zayed Rd) and will also be available at the gate on the day of the tournament.
