German team meets DTCM chief

DUBAI - Four prominent German businessmen with strong interest in media and television yesterday met Mr Khalid A bin Sulayem, Director-General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and held discussions on the latest developmental projects underway in the emirate and explored ways to further promote the destination in the key German market.

The delegation consisted of Gert Elfering who operates the International Successful Marketing company at the Dubai Media City.

The other members of the delegation were Mr Fritz Egner, a popular TV personality, Achim Jeckel, and Mr Michael Graf, brother of world-famous tennis player,. Steffi Graf. Mr Hamad bin Mejren, DTCM Manager Missions, was also present. Mr bin Sulayem briefed the delegation about the importance that the department accords to the German market and the increasing number of German tourists coming to Dubai. He said German media has been very supportive of the initiatives taken up by Dubai.
