A court house security guard told Khaleej Times that he saw heavy smoke coming out of one of the offices and called the Civil Defence. He said he prevented employees from approaching the office.
The Civil Defence said the firefighters managed to put out the fire in less than 20 minutes before it spread to other offices. The Civil Defence officials said a short circuit caused the fire.
