Fire at Ajman court
AJMAN — The Ajman court premises were evacuated by Civil Defence yesterday afternoon as fire erupted in one of the offices, destroying the furniture completely.
No one was injured as the employees were not in the office when the fire broke out around 1pm.
A court house security guard told Khaleej Times that he saw heavy smoke coming out of one of the offices and called the Civil Defence. He said he prevented employees from approaching the office.
The Civil Defence said the firefighters managed to put out the fire in less than 20 minutes before it spread to other offices. The Civil Defence officials said a short circuit caused the fire.
