Pakistan has received an official request from Washington to join its military alliance against, Daesh, the militant group, which has established a self-styled Caliphate over large areas in Iraq and Syria.
Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman, Qazi Khalilullah, said his country was mulling over how to respond to the US request to join the current global coalition against Daesh.
He said the government was embarked on how to respond to the request ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's upcoming trip to the US to attend the United Nations General Assembly meetings next week.
Pakistan, meanwhile, after denying the presence of ISIL in the country for long, recently put the name of the terror group on the list of proscribed organisations in the country.
