Kerala to launch women only 'Food on Wheels'

After the successful launch of India's first ever technology enabled 24/7 women-only taxi, the Kerala government is set to launch yet another innovative initiative called "Food on Wheels".
To be driven by women entrepreneurs under the public private partnership mode, "Food on Wheels" will serve hygienic and tasty food at cheap rates through different kinds of vehicles. These mobile food units will be stationed near government departments, schools and colleges.
The programme initiated by Gender Park under the social justice department of the state government hopes to reach out to 2500 women entrepreneurs. Gender Park CEO Dr PTM Sunish said that the project will also have night eatery street in cities.
