Boy kills class fellow for mobile phone
LUCKNOW - A Class 8 student was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh district for allegedly killing his classmate to get his funky mobile phone for listening Bollywood songs stored in the phone, police said on Monday.

Manish, 16, (not his real name) a student of Mahant Shivdas Vidyalaya, slit the throat of his classmate Munna (not his real name), also aged around 16 years. Under the law, both the attacker and the killed being juveniles cannot be named.
Munna’s body was recovered on Jan 6 from the shrubs in Para village. “During an enquiry, it was revealed that Munna was last seen with his friend Manish on the outskirts of the village. We interrogated Manish Sunday evening when he admitted to killing Munna to get his mobile phone for listening to songs,” inspector Anil Tiwari said on Monday in Azamgarh, some 300 km from here. According to police, Manish took Munna from his house on Jan 6 on the pretext of discussing something.
