'Dream big and continue to realign your ambitions in life'
Gulnora Mukhedinova, CEO and Founder of Baravia Fashion and Baravia Beauty Center, on setting her sights high
What is the number one item on your wish list?
My number one wish is for my collection to take the fashion world by storm. I'm working on some very exciting new projects to achieve this success. I also want to spend a life full of love for my family and my career.
One life lesson you want to share.
If you work hard and you have a good heart, there's nothing you can't accomplish.
The biggest learning point or experience in your life to date.
I love participating in fashion shows. Working in fashion allows you to meet so many people, all with different backgrounds, experiences and stories. You can learn a lot from the people around you in the fashion industry, and the people you meet at the early stages of your career may very well play a key part in your development further down the line.
What advice would you give your younger self, if you could?
Dream big and continue to realign your ambitions in life.
If you could move to any country in the world, what would it be?
I love Dubai so I will always prefer to be in the UAE.
Favourite fictional character of all time - and why.
Wonder Woman from the American comic books. She's compassionate, caring, opinionated, competitive and outgoing. Although immortal, the Amazonian prefers to avoid conflict; but, if pressed, she will engage in battle and fight for what she believes in.
The best thing you've ever bought yourself and why?
I've always loved fast cars. Buying a sports car was the best decision I ever made.
A superpower you wish you had?
To be able to help as many people as possible.
If you were head of your country, what is the first thing you would do?
If I was head of my country, the first thing I would do is prioritise education and find a way to make sure no child has to go to sleep hungry at the end of the day.
