However, it also means having to deal with having friends, family and colleagues spread out all over the world. Whether it's accidently calling your folks in the US at three in the morning or getting mixed up with foreign currency and spending a lot more than you should, these handy apps will help you navigate being a global citizen, with ease!
World Time Buddy

Whether it's planning an international business call or a Skype session with a loved one, getting the time right is absolutely crucial - and yet complicated (even more so if you have to factor in daylight savings time and other things). World Time Buddy doesn't just help you convert among multiple time zones, it also helps you schedule conference calls. With other features like highlighting weekend hours, providing daylight savings time across 20,000 locations worldwide and helping you plan meetings, it's a must-have app. The free version can be used in a handful of time zones, and is more than enough, although there is a paid version for the ardent globe-trotter.
DuoLingo

When in Rome, speak like the Romans do, right? Well, DuoLingo gives you the chance to learn more languages than just one. Choose from among Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Irish or Swedish, and enjoy the bite-sized lessons that are totally fun - and free! If you're still wondering whether you should hit the download button, get this - Time magazine claimed it "may hold the secret to the future of education"!
HelloSign

While this one is perfect for those travelling a lot on work, it can be a huge help for just about anyone and everyone who has an important document that needs their signature immediately. Instead of spending time searching for a printer and scanner, simply scrawl your signature directly on your device, and send the final copy back as a neat PDF. Easy peasy!
XE Currency

Another must-have wonder app. XE currency provides users with up-to-the-minute exchange rates for all world currencies, as well as historical charts and a price calculator. It also works offline (although that won't give you the updated exchange rates) and is free and simple to use. No need to rack your brain every time you need to convert currency.
