His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted about this achievement on his twitter page. He said: “This is the result of years of work and planning with the aim of creating a favourable business environment. Our real assets in the UAE are intellectual resources and human capital. These are the real drivers of wealth and growth”. Shaikh Mohammed added to his tweet saying that Dubai’s next target is to be voted first globally.
In a previous report released by IMD on May 31 this year, it was stated that attitude towards economic reforms are more positive in countries like the UAE and Qatar.
Several well wishers congratulated Shaikh Mohammed on the achievement. Abdullah e al Sabah- twitter handle @aelsabah said: “Bravo, good luck Shaikh Mohammed, Wish you the best”. Another twitter user with the handle @higgsmen said: “awesome” and @aljasser tweeted: “I hope we continue this success”.
