Registration of some vehicles in Sharjah can now have a validity of two years, the police have announced.
The Department of Vehicle and Driver Licensing at the Sharjah Police said motorists can avail of the service, provided their vehicles meet some criteria:

>> Its insurance must be valid for two years.
Typically, car registration across the UAE is valid for one year.
A vehicle can be registered in the traffic authority in each Emirate. The service is provided via service centres, websites or smart applications of the traffic department concerned.
The registration process entails getting the car inspected at testing centres. Once it meets quality standards, a registration card called mulkiya is issued.
