Shaikh Mohammed: Our planes carry message of love

Dubai - The VP inspected a number of facilities at the Dubai International Airport, where he ensured movement of passengers through this vital gateway.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday inspected a number of facilities at the Dubai International Airport.
He expressed satisfaction about the procedures adopted at the airport and the facilities and services provided. These factors, he said, has earned the country a good reputation.
"Our planes carry ... the messages of love and peace from our people to people from other parts of the world," said Shaikh Mohammed.
Shaikh Mohammed, accompanied by Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Emirates airline and Chief Executive of the Emirates Group, toured terminal three of the airport, which is designated for first, second and business class passengers. He also inspected 50 counters of Emirates airlines.
Shaikh Mohammed took the monorail from terminal three to the Emirates' Airbus A380 Concourse three, the world's first dedicated facility that is home to the airline's growing fleet of super jumbos. He was briefed about the quality of services and facilities provided to travellers using the Dubai airport.
Shaikh Ahmed told Shaikh Mohammed that passenger traffic soared by 15 per cent in July, as compared to the corresponding period last year. He said the number of travellers using the airport is expected to reach 80 million by the end of the year.
