Paid parking expanded in Sharjah's Al Majaz

The Sharjah Municipality is expanding its paid parking zones in Sharjah by including Al Majaz 3.
The ticket machines, which have already been installed in the area will, be activated today.
Attif Al Zarouni, Director of the Paid Parking Department at Sharjah Municipality, said the move is aimed at providing best services for residents of the area. It is also part of the municipality's efforts to ensure parking space for residents as the parking spaces are usually occupied by staff of commercial outlets and shoppers.
Al Zarouni said implementation of the paid parking system will help solve the parking issues and organise the improper and unauthorised parking.
In order to make the parking payment easy, the municipality has introduced pre-paid cards, annual subscription or payment through SMS.
Al Zarouni urged the residents to follow the rules of parking and avoid violation.
