Dubai - A pickup driver died in the accident

One person was killed and two others sustained injuries in a multiple-vehicle collision on Emirates Road on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by Dubai Police, the accident involved a pickup truck and two cars.
Brigadier Saeed Hamad bin Sulaiman Al Malek, Director of Al Rashidiya Police Station, said the Command and Control Centre of the General Department of Operations, was alerted about an accident - after which patrol cars were immediately dispatched to the site of the accident.
Initial enquiry found that the driver of the pickup truck had smashed into the car in front of it from behind after failing to maintain safe distance between the two vehicles.
Due to the impact of the collision, the car ahead crashed into a third vehicle in front of it.

The pickup driver died in the accident, while another passenger in the pickup had incurred injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was also injured.
