The talks were held in presence of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
They exchanged views on the latest regional developments and the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council to realise the aspirations and ambitions of peoples of member states and to serve matters of common concern.
Shaikh Khalifa hailed Sultan Qaboos’ visit to “his second home country as a source of pride and a sign of sincere brotherhood and friendship”.
He also described the visit asan effort to further promote ties and consultations and continuous coordination between the two countries in the context or predominant cooperation and coordiantion in all spheres.”
Sultan Qaboos expressed happiness over visiting the UAE and meeting President Shaikh Khalifa.
Sultan Qaboos stressed that relations between the UAE and Oman will see more progress in various spheres thanks to a common keen interest by the leaderships of the two countries.
President Shaikh Khalifa also hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Sultan Qaboos and the accompanying delegation.
Earlier, Sultan Qaboos and his delegation were received at Al Ain airport by Shaikh Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed, Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President’s Representative; Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region; Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Presidential Affairs; Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Qutbi, Omani Ambassador to the UAE, and members of the Omani embassy
