Firefighters quell massive warehouse fire in Ajman

Ajman - No casualties have been reported.

Firefighters managed to control a fire which erupted in a massive warehouse which contained cardboard and wooden materials in Ajman's New Industrial Area on Friday. No casualties have been reported.
Brig. Rashid Muglad, Deputy Director Of Ajman Civil Defense said that firefighters from all stations around the emirate rushed to the site to control the blaze. Thanks to their speedy response, the fire was prevented from spreading to nearby warehouses.
Brig Rashid Muglad said that the firefighting operation started at 4:30pm and was completed at 7pm. Civil defence teams are still on site and are performing cooling operations.
He urged warehouse owners to follow fire prevention and safety procedures such as making sure the fire alarm system works, storing materials properly and making sure that the are no faulty electric connections.
