Arab Fashion Week, designed to introduce and promote emerging designers into local and foreign markets, will be held in a spectacular "fashion igloo" flown in from Milan. Among the exclusive designers to be featured are Hamda Al Fahim, Lamya Abedin, OT Kutyr - Turk Jadallah, Sylvio Kovacic, Tiiya Al Anoud in addition to the participation of several international designers.
The four-day Arab Fashion Week will be held at St. Regis Hotel, Dubai from March 16 to 19.
This year, the Arab Fashion Council has also obtained pledges from designers to rely primarily on eco-sustainable resources for their collections, without sacrificing the levels of class and refinement of their products.
Another feature is a Kidswear show featuring well-known Italian brands. This will be held on March 16 at Dubai Mall.
Arab Fashion Week will conclude on March 19 with an awards gala dinner, in which - for the first time - ten 21-carat gold-plated "Fashion Trophies" will be awarded to the most talented designers. The gala dinner will also be a charity event.
