Abu Dhabi - Dubai International Air Chiefs' conference is the official conference of the Dubai Air Show, which will take place from November 8 to 12.
Air chiefs from 48 countries are expected to attend the Dubai International Air Chiefs' conference (DIAC) in November, a top official said recently.
After a meeting with stakeholders of the Dubai Air Show, Major General Abdullah Al Hashmi, chairman of the organising committee, said the DIAC will take place on November 7, a day before the 5-day air show.
Now in its seventh year, DIAC is the official conference of the Dubai Air Show, which will take place from November 8 to 12. Apart from the air chiefs, over 500 senior level delegates are also expected to attend the conference. Though the agenda of the conference is yet to be finalised, regional air threats may top the topics of discussions. "Our agenda this year will focus on major hybrid threats. Giving what the region is going through, this is a very important subject," Al Hashmi said.
As for the air show, Al Hashmi claimed it is the world's best in terms of participating companies, delegates, events and even sales.
"Dubai Air Show is almost the same as any other international air show, but Dubai itself is unique, and we do things a little bit differently ... The fact that we have 48 air chiefs is unique in itself," he told Khaleej Times.
Al Hashmi hopes this uniqueness will attract more sponsors this year.
"We need your support! You have been with us in the past and we hope you will be with us now. Give UAE what you usually give - your support," Al Hashmi urged sponsors.
