Other test centres in the emirate will work an extra two hours over the five day period, the Vehicles & Drivers’ Licensing Department (VDLD) at the Abu Dhabi Police announced.
Under the new timings, working hours at Al Salama Building have been extended to 24 hours daily, and other Al Samala buildings in Musafah, Bani Yas, Al Samha, Al Ain and Al Hayar will operate from 7.00am straight through to 10pm.
Head of the VDLD, Colonel Suhail Al Khaili, said the decision to extend working hours at the centres was made to absorb the increase in the number of vehicles required to undergo mandatory technical testing before renewal of their registration, and to improve quality of service offered to citizens and residents alike.
