Commuters on the metro's red line on Tuesday afternoon were stuck on board as a technical snag delayed trains for 20 minutes. Photos of the 'chaos' were uploaded on social media. Commuters posted pictures of a packed Jafiliya station.
The RTA twitter page said the snag was between GGICO station & Al Jafiliya station in both directions "due to a technical problem that was resolved by the operating company."
A following tweet said, RTA announced the return of service of Dubai Metro red line to normal, after a short disruption that lasted for 20 minutes on the red line.
The RTA spokesperson told Khaleej Times that "There was no reason for the snag that we know of. It was a 20 minute delay that got fixed shortly."
