In the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed stressed on peace based on 'two-state solution' for Israel and Palestine
Al Nuaimiya Bridge linking the Khalifa Intersection in the direction of Sharjah and Al Ettihad Intersection located on Al Kuwait Street in Ajman was officially inaugurated on Thursday.
The bridge has three lanes in both directions and has total length of 370 metres and width of 5.14 metres.
The project includes traffic signals under the bridge which links the emirate with internal areas and other emirates. Three round exits underneath the bridge and three exits on the bridge for motorists from and to Sharjah towards Khalifa Road were also opened. The bridge is also equipped with lights and sewerage.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Yahya Al Reyaysa, Director-General of the Ajman Municipality, said the project consists of two parts — Mushariff Bridge and Al Nuaimiya Bridge. The two bridges would contribute a great deal to ensuring a smooth traffic flow and safety for motorists heading from and to Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaiamah, Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah.
The project is part of the ongoing development projects being carried out by the municipality to cope with the rapid development being witnessed in the emirate.
