Dubai — The Middle East region’s first video review mobile application, travall, will go live in the UAE market on December 2 to coincide with the National Day.

Designed specifically to support the travel, tourism, entertainment and leisure industries, travall will offer popular Dubai-based destinations with compelling, broadcast standard videos that will engage consumers looking for insight into the destinations, before they visit.

At the launch announcement held at a media breakfast recently, Adam Ridgway, CEO of travall, said the app would be a perfect support to businesses involved in or connected to Dubai’s travel and tourism business.

“Primarily, however, the app is a consumer app that allows the user to gain better insight into the destinations and locations they hope to visit, by being given a dedicated visual tour.”

“We are all familiar with the memories that are created when we travel; at travall we are committed to creating what we call ‘pre-mories’ — experiences of the destination before getting there,” added Ridgway.

Key features of the app include building an itinerary for a trip; making reservations; sharing details on social media; rating and reviewing an outlet; redeeming free vouchers; and taking advantage of last-minute promotions. In addition, the most engaged users can earn points towards various prizes, including meal deals, weekend stays, holidays, flights, and other travel and leisure experiences.

With travall’s management team claiming that the app will be made available to 3,600 travel agents in the Middle East and North Africa region, it is hoped that it will lend support to agents selling Dubai as both a holiday or business destination.

Clients already on board include Burj Al Arab, Atlantis Hotel, the Dubai World Trade Centre, The Anantara, Sofitel, Cle and the Roads and Transport Authority.

From 2015, the app is scheduled to launch in international markets such as Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, India, Mexico, South Africa and the US.

The travall app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
