We have approximately 4,000 students enrolled at our Dubai campus that includes both our full-time and part-time students across all levels and programmes. Our students come from all over the world and represent more than 105 nationalities.

We are seeing a shift in demand for programmes such as BEng (Hons) Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems; BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence); BSc (Hons) Data Sciences; MSc Artificial Intelligence; and MSc International Marketing with Digital Marketing, among many others, which prepare students for jobs of the future. Our programmes have been designed to meet the demands of local business and growth industries, and equip our graduates with the cross-functional skills and confidence required for developing a lucrative career in their chosen field.

Our highly acclaimed degree programmes provide students with an understanding of contemporary developments, emerging trends, and real-world challenges, both inside and outside the classroom. We work closely with many industry partners to offer our students an opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge and to gain practical insight - making them ready for employment upon graduation.

Extra-curricular activities

As a university, we encourage our students to take part in extra-curricular activities, community services and networking to develop leadership skills, positive interpersonal relationship skills, and to encourage exposure to various cultures, ideas, arts and ways of life.

We offer an active student life beyond the day-to-day studies, which includes a range of sports such as cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, and table tennis, in addition to a range of talent-building activities such as debate, drama, dance, music, gaming and anime and humanitarian activities.

Advice to prospective students

Higher education choices have a long-term impact, and therefore, assessing your career goals, choice of study destination and the programme is incredibly important to reach the right decision at the right time.

On the occasion.

Since our inception in 2005 as the first British university in Dubai, we had set out to offer quality education to those seeking world-class education within the UAE and the region. Looking back at the last 15 years, we have accomplished some extraordinary achievements and milestones that include establishing a strong reputation in the market, a diverse student body, five-star rating from KHDA two years in a row, extensive industry partnerships, outstanding graduate employability, our brand-new campus, and much more. We couldn't have done it without the support from the UAE government, our students, alumni, industry partners, and staff. A big thank you to all who contributed to cementing Heriot-Watt's position as a leading, reputed university in the UAE. And we look forward to reaching many more milestones and achievements in the next 15 years.
