Dutchman Maurice Steijn will hope to carry on the good work done by countryman Henk ten Cate after being appointed the new Al Wahda manager.
The 45-year-old Steijn was announced as ten Cate's successor, The Clarets confirmed on their official twitter handle as well as their official website.
"Al Wahda have signed Maurice Steijn as coach to succeed Hen ten Cate," the club said.
Steijn has been given a one-year contract with an option to renew, the club confirmed.
"Steijn will begin training and prepare the team for an internal camp at the end of June and then proceed on a pre-season camp in July," the club added.
Steijn will have an early start as Al Wahda are in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League. The Clarets take on Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr at the King Fahd International Stadium in the first leg on August 5 with the home leg to be played at the Al Nahyan Stadium on August 12.
Al Wahda have also gained automatic qualification to the continental competition for the 2019-2020 season after finishing third in the Arabian Gulf League.
Steijn began his coaching career with Dutch side ADO Den Haag, for whom he made 98 appearances as a player. He started as the caretaker coach in 2010 before taking the full-time role next season. He also had a five-year spell with another Dutch club VVV-Venlo.
Al Wahda were keen on ten Cate continuing but the former Al Jazira and Ajax manager, who was tempted out of retirement by The Clarets last December, said he didn't want to, due to personal reasons.
Henk ten Cate, who guided Al Jazira to the League and President's Cup title, oversaw a dramatic turnaround at Al Wahda, after replacing Romanian Laurentiu Reghecampf.
He helped them finish third in the League and also guided the club to the last 16 of the AFC Champions League.
