Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark of Game of Thrones, finally figured out how to stick ‘em with the pointy end - the pointy end of her social media account, at least.
The 17-year-old HBO star’s character is famous for her fiery spirit, and relative proficiency with a sword, but in real life she’s making a name for herself as a disgruntled airline customer.
After being refused entrance to British Airways’ business class lounge for being under age (she won’t turn 18 until April 2015) and unaccompanied by an adult, the up-and-coming starlet aired her grievances Sunday on Twitter.
“Denied from the business lounge once again for being under 18 and without an adult.. @British_Airways sort your s**t out.,”
Williams’ profanity-charged tweet, which now has more than 2,000 favorites, read.
The airline replied just three hours later. The company was polite and apologetic, but stood firm on its position.
“@Maisie_Williams Hi Maisie. We’re sorry if you were disappointed, lounge guests must be 18 or older. We look forward to welcoming you soon.,” the airline responded.
Problem solved, right? Not so much. When you play the game of business class lounge disputes, you either win or you continue tweeting, apparently.
“Yes.. @British_Airways fully understand that, my question is why? Why can we travel alone but not use the lounge? It makes no sense.,” Williams continued.
“Just saying if 16-18 yr olds are grown up enough to travel 5,400 miles around the world..”
