Young girl dies, family injured in Dubai-Al Ain road accident

Dubai - Her sisters received moderate injuries.

A 15-year-old Jordanian girl died and her parents as well as her two sisters were injured when the car they were travelling in flipped over several times on Dubai-Al Ain Road.
The accident happened when the mother - who was driving the car - lost control over the vehicle as she tried to negotiate a pothole on the road. The car veered towards the sandy area along the highway and overturned five times.
The occupants were thrown off the vehicle and the deceased sustained fatal injuries.

The Dubai Police ambulance rushed the father, a professor in a university in Al Ain, and the mother, who is a physics teacher in a private school in Al Ain, to Rashid Hospital for urgent medical attention.
The deceased studied in grade 9 in the same school. Her sisters too received moderate injuries.
The girl suffered internal bleeding and died on the spot. Her body was referred to the general department of forensic medicine.
It will be handed over after administrative and legal procedures are completed.
