The brothers, who say they are innocent, are accused of having formed an organised criminal network in early 2021 in Romania, as well as in the US and Britain
"My eyes welled up when I heard of the Sharjah Ruler's gesture. But, it is not new for him to do such things for citizens. He is always there to extend his hand and support those in need. I pray that his generous nature will make more people happy."
Al Hashimi was one of the 11 Sharjah Police officers who received a total of Dh13 million from the Sharjah Ruler to settle their debts and financial problems. The officers had spoken to Sheikh Sultan during a live show on the Sharjah Radio.
First Assistant Sheikh Mohammed Al Hammadi said he was astonished at the Ruler's quick response in dealing with the worries of citizens in the emirate.
"This is a clear demonstration of his generosity and continuous giving to his sons working in the Sharjah Police. The action will encourage us to renew our promise to make utmost efforts to consolidate the pillars of security and stability in the emirate," said First officer Mohammed Mal Allah Al Hammadi.
"I thank him for his gesture. His hands have been extended to all his sons working for the Sharjah government. I wish Allah mark it in the balance of his good deeds," said Sergeant Ibrahim Ishaq Ibrahim. "This will solve all my financial issues and I will be able to live happily."
First Assistant Yusuf Ali Al Mazem echoed the same thoughts on the Sharjah Ruler. "He is concerned about his sons working in the government, especially those in the police. He is also keen to improve the living conditions of the citizens in Sharjah. The gesture has delighted me and my family," he said.
Another officer who received the benefits, First Assistant Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim, added: "The deed is not surprising; Sheikh Sultan has always been kind to us. He is there to support and help. I can't express my happiness with words; all my worries, stress and tension will now be gone. May Almighty prolong his life."
