Osman Ali Said Al Naqbi was honoured by Sharjah Police to recognize his heroic and humanitarian act.
Al Naqbi said that he heard people screaming for help on the beach as two men were on the verge of getting drowned.
Al Naqbi informed the authorities concerned immediately. He then jumped into the water and pulled the two men out of the water to the shore. The police rescue unit arrived and found the men gasping for breath. They were provided first aid and then rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
While felicitating Al Naqbi, Brig. Ali Saif Al Nadas, director of the outskirt areas police department, showered praise on him for his brave act and for setting a perfect example of community-police partnership.
