1 killed, 4 injured as car flips over on UAE road

The accident took place in one of the internal roads in the mountainous area of RAK.

A man was killed and four others injured after the car in which they were travelling veered off and flipped over several times on one of the internal roads in a mountainous area in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
On being alerted about the accident, the central operations room of the RAK Police immediately dispatched traffic patrols, ambulances, civil defence men, paramedics and rescue teams to the site.
"Initial enactment of the accident showed that the car's driver lost control over the steering wheel, making the vehicle turn over several times," police sources said. 
One of the five men - all Asians - in the car died on the spot, sources added. "The four other occupants, who received various injuries, were shifted to the nearest hospital for treatment and medical care." 
The accident file was referred to the bodies concerned for legal action. "Drivers are urged to stay focused at all times and never get distracted by anything while observing the speed limit," the police cautioned.
