Majid Al Futtaim is giving away free movie tickets at City Centre Fujairah as part of its bid to help families bond.

The unique gamification concept Movie Fever will see customers take thrilling digital challenges for the chance to win VOX Cinemas movie tickets daily. There they can catch Hollywood's most highly anticipated films.

"Movies are a great way to bond with family and friends and we want our customers to come together at City Centre Fujairah to create memories with our exclusive Movie Fever activation," said Abdulla Al Blooshi, mall manager for City Centre Fujairah.

"With some of the biggest movies releasing in March and April, we want to create great moments for everyone, every day with digital puzzles to win VOX Cinemas tickets. Shoppers can also get creative and pose for pictures that our professional team will enhance to make them look like movie stars."

The promotion has been timed to coincide with the release of action-adventure 'Tomb Raider', starring Academy Award-winning actor Alicia Vikander. The family film is based on the famous video game franchise of the same name. It follows the journey of an archaeologist who is on a mission to find out about her father's disappearance. In City Centre Fujairah's fun interactive game, played on a large touchscreen, players will take the role of the adventurer, racing against the clock to locate missing clues within the allotted time.

Shoppers can also look forward to daily giveaways of up to Dh1,000 throughout the month by spending as little as Dh200 at the mall. Customers will also be invited in the mall's 'green screen' photography studio for a fun photoshoot. There, their photographs will be superimposed onto a movie still background to make it look as though they're in the film, images that can simply be shared on social media using the mall's free WiFi.
