Ajman Police foil robbery attempt at supermarket

Ajman - During interrogation, the two suspects confessed their crime and said they had a third accomplice.

The Ajman Police have arrested an Asian gang while trying to carry out a robbery at a supermarket in new industrial area in Ajman. The suspects were caught inside the shop with Dh80,000.
Major Mohammed Al Ghafli, deputy director of the criminal investigation department at the Ajman Police, said the police received a tip-off that someone was breaking into a supermarket in new industrial area. The police immediately rushed to the site where they found the entrance glass of a supermarket completely damaged.
The police suspected the robbers were inside the shop and found two people hiding between travel bags with Dh80,000 in their possession. During interrogation, the two suspects confessed their crime and said they had a third accomplice.
Investigations revealed that the third suspect lived in Sharjah and was arrested in coordination with the Sharjah Police. He had a black bag with two mobile phones which he said he stole from a mobile outlet in Al Ain. He also told the police that he was the mastermind of the robbery of the supermarket.
