Homosexuality ban and vote bank politics

When the Supreme Court of India upheld the ban on homosexuality, the Congress leadership rushed to express their disappointment with the judgment. However, none came forward to reassure the people of India during times of severe trouble caused by the delayed monsoon, economic slow-down and fall of the rupee due to massive corruption.

The Congress acts as if all problems like poverty, hunger, overpopulation, illiteracy, inflation and violence against women have been resolved.

The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance may pass a resolution or bring an ordinance in parliament supporting homosexuality to appease the vote banks.
