Flexigistic professional among ‘top 40 leaders’

Anish Chakraborty, dynamic Dubai-based professional and general manager of leading logistics and supply chain provider Flexigistic, was honoured in Belgium as one of the ‘World’s Top 40 Leaders in Shipping and Break Bulk Industry’. AntwerpXL, one of the world’s leading platforms for the shipping, logistic and breakbulk industry, felicitated him along with other top personalities from across the globe.

Chakraborty, who hails from West Bengal, India and currently based out of Dubai, the most innovative logistics hub in the world, was recognised by eminent jury members for his work and achievement in the field of logistics. The jury selected him for achieving high level goals in handling most dynamic and critical movements, time-bound projects, making an impact as a solution provider in all areas of logistics, etc., during his long tenure in the vital industry. Also, his role in handling several naval vessels such as British Navy, US Navy, Japanese Navy, Indian Navy, US Military, British Military, and diplomatic cargo for various embassies movement was appreciated.


“Though this is just a beginning, it is an honour to receive the highly-acclaimed award in the breakbulk industry. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all organisations in India and abroad for having confidence in my capabilities and mentoring me to achieve this milestone. With constant advancement of technology, I see AI, blockchain, machine learning and automation as growth tools for the shipping and logistics industry. A post graduate diploma holder in sustainability management, Chakraborty began his professional career in 1995. However, he began his journey into logistics and supply chain in 1999 as a junior executive in Mumbai, India.Today, with over two decades of experience in freight forwarding, he has played a vital role in managing large teams, winning big projects, planning and executing impactful strategies for various governments and global organisations in the shipping and logistics sector.


Project cargo, heavy lift, vessel and flight operation, world-class cruise vessels including Queen Marry 2, GCC transportation, fleet management, and customs knowledge, 3PL and 4PL, Royal Opera House of Muscat (ROHM), and finally, the most dynamic operation of Military Cargo Handling, are some of the areas where Chakraborty is highly specialised.

He has also been very successful in mentoring the new generation with career guidelines, motivating freshers and senior professionals to travel down right path.

He further added, “My special thanks goes to my parents and family, my all time support and inspiration, and all my seniors for their guidance, support and mentorship during my journey.”
