A daredevil driver from the Philippines has landed in legal soup after a video went viral showing him driving a car whilst seated in the passenger seat.
The man, identified as Miko Lopez, was in the passenger seat and used his left hand to steer the car while his left leg slung over the center console into the driver's side to operate the pedals, Philippine News Agency reported.

Lopez will face charges for reckless driving, illegal modification (removing the steering wheel), not wearing a seatbelt and "improper person to operate a motor vehicle", according to Department of Transportation (DOTr), Assistant Secretary for Communications, Goddess Hope Libiran.
In addition to reckless driving, Lopez failed to appear for a hearing on the incident. "He will also be disqualified from applying for a driver's license again in the future. Lopez failed to appear despite service of summons. The LTO Law Enforcement Service will now prepare for the resolution," Philippine News Agency quoted Libiran on Wednesday.
