An passenger of a  IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad to Goa on Christmas Day was booked after he was found smoking in the aircraft toilet during the journey.
According to ANI report, on noticing odour of cigarette smoke came from the toilet, the crew on-board alerted the flight captain and told the passenger about the policy that prohibits smoking on-board, followed by a warning.
Smoking onboard is an illegal offence under India's air safety rules.
After the flight landed at Goa, the matter was brought to the notice of the local police station. A case was filed against the man, who was then handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force.a
Last week, Vistara flight was delayed by three hours after a passenger argued with the crew as he wanted to smoke on the plane.
