Popular Telugu actor Mahesh Babu, who is currently shooting in Dubai for his upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Paata, revealed the release date Friday on Twitter, along with a new poster.
He tweeted, “Sankranthi it is!!! #SarkaruVaariPaata.”
An action-comedy written and directed by Parasuram, Sarkaru Vaari Paata will release on Sankranthi 2022.
Mahesh Babu revealed to Khaleej Times that filming for Sarkaru Vaari Paata - which also stars Keerthy Suresh - will continue until the end of February.
The actor was photographed at Hyderabad airport en route to Dubai with his family, including actress-wife Namrata Shirodkar, a few days ago.
When asked how he felt about travelling to Dubai to shoot Sarkaru Vaari Paata during the Covid pandemic, Mahesh Babu said, “Dubai is a lovely place; I have been here many times in the past too and our crew feels very safe here given the safely protocols Dubai is following in these challenging times.”
In another Twitter post Friday Mahesh Babu also revealed the release date of Major, based on the life of Indian army officer Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who died in the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack in 2008. The film, co-produced by Mahesh Babu, will release on July 2 this year.
