Dhahi meets Indian envoy

Commander-General of Dubai Police Lt-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim on Tuesday stressed the keenness of the police to provide necessary services to all expatriate communities living in the UAE.

The Dubai Police always give great attention to ensure a good life for the citizens and the expatriates living in the emirate, he added.

Lt-Gen Dhahi Khalfan spoke about the issue at a meeting held with the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, M.K. Lokesh, and in the presence of the Foreign Ministry officials. They discussed a number of issues concerning the Indian community in Dubai and also exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern. Noting the historical relations between the UAE and India, the ambassador hailed the efforts of the Dubai Police in guaranteeing security and safety to all those who live in the emirate.

Dhahi offers condolences

Lt-Gen Dhahi Khalfan offered condolences to the family of Brig Matar Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Board of Baniyas Sports Club, at the residence of the deceased in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. He expressed his profound grief and solace, and prayed to the Almighty to bestow mercy upon the deceased and give patience to his family. —
